Prices in lari - how to read the dollar figures

All prices in this article are in Georgian lari (₾, GEL): that is the currency our proposals, contracts and invoices are issued in. The dollar figures are approximate equivalents at roughly ₾2.7 to the dollar, the rate used when this article was last updated (October 2026). The euro trades a little above the dollar against the lari, so euro equivalents are slightly lower than the dollar ones; for an exact figure use the National Bank of Georgia rate on the day you compare.

If you pay from abroad, your bank converts at its own rate on the day of transfer - the lari amount on the invoice does not change.

Interior Design Price - Packages and Rates

Pricing in architectural studios is based on service depth and technical documentation scope. Fillet Studio offers three main design packages:

How the project runs - three stages, payment 30/30/40

A residential project at Fillet Studio is split into three paid stages. Each stage ends with a deliverable you approve in writing before the next one starts, and the payment schedule follows the same three steps - 30%, 30% and 40% of the contract sum.

• Stage 1 - brief and layout (30% on signing). Site measurement, a detailed brief we confirm together, functional zoning and layout alternatives until the plan matches the way you live. The first payment is the advance that starts the clock.
• Stage 2 - 3D visualisation (30% on approval of the visuals). Photorealistic images of every room with the real materials, lighting scenarios and furniture. Changes at this stage are quick and cost nothing on site.
• Stage 3 - working drawings and specification (40% on handover). The complete technical package for the builders - demolition and construction plans, electrical, plumbing, ceilings, floors, finishes - plus the material list with exact articles and quantities.

Author supervision during the renovation is the fourth, optional step: in the Basic and Standard packages it is agreed separately, per visit or per month. A standard apartment project of about 100 m² takes 3 to 4 weeks of design time, depending on complexity. Days spent waiting for your feedback or a decision do not count towards the deadline - the clock stops and restarts when your confirmation arrives.

For clients abroad - language, remote work, who is on site

Some of our clients own or are buying property in Georgia but live elsewhere. The process is built to work without you being in the country.

• Language. We work in Georgian, English and Russian: the consultation, the proposal, the contract and all stage approvals can be in English.
• Remote work. Layout, 3D visualisation and working drawings are done fully remotely - video calls for each stage, files shared online, approvals in writing. The only step that needs someone on site before the design starts is the measurement, which we do ourselves or through a local survey team.
• Who represents you on site. During the renovation, author supervision means our architect visits the site, checks the work against the drawings and answers the contractors' questions - you do not have to be in Georgia for that. • Payment. Each stage is invoiced separately in lari and paid by bank transfer; the three stages and their shares are fixed in the contract.
